Following last year’s incredibly successful Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide, the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA) will this year host a landmark cancer meeting in Sydney, in conjunction with the International Association of Cancer Registries and the Australian and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgery Association.

This year we are focussing on Upper Gastrointestinal cancers, as well as skin cancers and melanoma. Urological and gynaecological cancers will also be featured. Our theme “Information in, information out” will allow broad discussion on topics ranging from state of the art data linkage to molecular tumour information to communicating with patients in the electronic era.

The meeting will feature interdisciplinary plenaries and symposia which are of interest to all COSA members. Our international and national faculty are of the highest quality. Special emphasis this year will be given to the posters, with an on-site poster discussion each day and a daily “Best of the day” proffered papers leading to the “Best of the Best” session at the end of the meeting.

In an important change, the meeting will run Tuesday to Thursday, with satellites and workshops on the Monday and Friday.
